Applicants born after June 15th, 1991 and before June 15th 2008 can apply.

Categories

The contest is held in following specializations: violin, cello, voice.

Program

One piece of your choice, duration from 10 to 45 min. Voice category applicants can submit several pieces, with a total duration between 10 and 45 minutes.

A recorded video of your performance of your chosen work (accompanied by an orchestra or piano, or solo, in a studio or live recording) must be submitted as YouTube- or Vimeo-link, or another media available for download. The video must be submitted before December 1st, 2024. Multiple applications from the same person performing different works are allowed (application fees apply separately).

Deadline

The application deadline is December 1st, 2024. Applications are accepted online, and the video recording of your performance must also be submitted by this date.

Application fee

The application fee is 95 EUR. Please pay the application fee before December 1st, 2024, using the private registration link that you received in the registration email.

Your application will only be processed after receiving the application fee.

The application fee is non-refundable in case of incomplete or cancelled application, or no-show.

The competition process

December 1st, 2024 – application deadline in all categories for the International Competition «Debut Concert in Berlin». The competition results will be published on December 7th, 2024.

The Debut Concert

The Debut Concert will take place at 22. December 2024. The competition winner will perform in the Grand Hall of the Berliner Philharmonie.

International music agencies and the press will be invited to the debut concert. By applying, the participant accepts the rules and conditions of the competition. The legal process is waived. The prize cannot be shared between participants. The jury has the right not to give the award prizes. The piece performed at the debut concert may or may not be the same as submitted. The decision of the jury is final and indisputable.

The participants agree that the debut concert will be recorded audio-visually. The organizer is entitled to use these recordings at any time commercially and non-commercially and/or to allow further use by third parties. This includes all forms of use (audio-visual media, print and online media, broadcasting, streaming, and downloading). Participants transfer all images- and sound-related rights to the organizer free of charge. Fee claims for recordings and re-use are not accepted.
